02. Multi-Layer Film Engineering for Long-Life Air Retention
Air-filled mini balloons sit in retail and storage environments for months. They face temperature cycling, contact with floral moisture, and handling. The film in this product family runs a multi-layer lamination that outperforms single-layer rubber films. Metallized Aluminum Layer
Vacuum-deposited aluminum on the outer surface produces the mirror finish and reduces gas diffusion through the film. Thickness is controlled per run and documented in the batch record.
BOPET Outer Layer
The rigid outer layer provides structural strength and dimensional stability. It holds the small balloon shape under handling and keeps the print surface flat across the display window.
BOPA Nylon and LLDPE Inner
The nylon middle layer absorbs stress at the small-balloon corner. The inner LLDPE layer forms the hermetic weld at the seam and the valve seat. The multi-layer stack is what makes the small-balloon format hold air for months rather than days.
03. Heat-Seal Versus Auto-Seal Valve: The 4-Inch and 9-Inch Distinction
The mechanical difference between the two sizes drives the assembly process at the buyer's end. A 4-inch flat mini balloon has an internal chamber too compact to house a reliable auto-shutoff valve. Installing one would cause the balloon to wrinkle at the seam and would raise the failure rate. The 4-inch format therefore ships without a valve and requires heat-sealing with a simple hand-operated impulse sealer at the buyer's end. The 9-inch format carries enough internal volume to house the auto-sealing valve, which offers a quick-seal option and a secondary heat-seal option for redundancy.

04. Cup and Stick Locking System
The connection between the balloon tail, the cup, and the stick is a frequent source of retail friction. Low-grade accessories use single-slot cups that allow the balloon to tilt or pop off during checkout handling. We use a multi-slotted micro-cup system. The heat-sealed tail of the balloon threads through secondary anchoring slots, which locks the balloon's center of gravity in an upright position. The stick uses a thick-walled polymer formula that resists bending at the load point, so the display stands straight on the shelf.
05. Compostable Option for Regulated Markets
Several EU and North American markets apply single-use plastic levies or Extended Producer Responsibility schemes to festive and floral decor. For buyers sourcing into those markets, this product family is available in a PLA/PBAT substrate instead of the standard BOPET laminate. The compostable line uses the same valve architecture and heat-seal workflow, so it drops into existing assembly operations without retooling at the buyer's end.
The material is tested under SGS ISO 14855-1 biodegradation test report SHMR220700361301, issued on 08 October 2022. The PLA-based film reached an average biodegradation of 77.8 percent over a 45-day test cycle at 58 degrees Celsius, with a biodegradation rate relative to the cellulose reference material of 101.4 percent, judged Pass against the ISO 14855-1 validity criteria. Buyers who require the complete EN 13432 industrial compostability package, including disintegration and ecotoxicity testing, should state that requirement at the quotation stage so that the correct submission scope is scheduled.

06. Quality Control and Packaging
Every batch of mini stick balloons undergoes pressure-hold testing before flat packing. We do not publish a decimal-precise defect figure because that number is batch-specific. A buyer should ask for the actual QA record tied to their production run, not a number pulled from a supplier's landing page. Finished flat balloons are packed in moisture-barrier inner packaging with active desiccant for long ocean transit. 07. Pricing Model and What to Send When You Inquire
Stock metallic colors run without extra plate fees. Custom Pantone matching, glitter patterns, and holiday or brand graphics are processed on rotogravure presses with up to ten colour layers, with plate costs amortized across the order volume. Large importers often consolidate mini stick balloons with standard shapes and jumbo numbers in flat-packed FCL shipments, which lowers the freight cost per unit. We manufacture at the Jiangsu facility. We ship direct. We do not sell through distributors. Factory Capacity and Lead Time
Our Jiangsu facility runs approximately 1 million units per month. Standard production lead time for orders in the tens of thousands is around 20 days. Larger volumes require production scheduling review, and lead time is confirmed at order stage. Custom tooling and sample development run approximately 12 days.
